Today, the Iron Dames made yet more history by taking the first all-female pole position in Lamborghini Super Trofeo on its debut weekend in the competition.

Doriane Pin set the fastest time in the second Qualifying session; the 18-year-old will start Friday’s Race 2 from the front.

Michelle Gatting starts P5 in the Pro class for Race 1 on Friday morning, ensuring the #83 car will fight for podiums throughout its first weekend in the championship.

Andrea Piccini, Iron Lynx Team Principal, said: “Everyone did a very good job today, both the drivers and the whole team. We’re super happy for Doriane taking pole, she brought out the best when we needed it and put together a perfect lap. Michelle had a more difficult session with traffic, so she couldn’t get a clean lap but we still start both races in the top five, so we’re very optimistic about our chances to fight for podiums.”
