Doriane Pin joins the Iron Dames for Total 24 Hours of Spa

18-year-old female racer Doriane Pin is to make her Total 24 Hours of Spa debut next month. Joining the Iron Dames four-driver line up, she will race with Rahel Frey, Michelle Gatting, and Sarah Bovy at the world-famous Ardennes circuit as part of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup.

The promising racer is currently leading the Ferrari Challenge Europe Trofeo Pirelli championship, after taking four wins from the opening six rounds. This latest announcement will see Doriane gain further valuable experience in endurance racing, building on her debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) earlier in the year.

The Iron Dames trio of Rahel, Michelle and Sarah have started their 2022 GT World Challenge campaign impressively, taking a second-place finish in the last race at Paul Ricard, and currently sit fourth in the Gold Cup class standings.

Team Principal of Iron Lynx, Andrea Piccini, said:

“The 24 Hours of Spa is one of most demanding endurance races in the world, but we think it’s the right opportunity for Doriane to step up into the highest level of GT racing after performing very well in her WEC debut at Spa earlier in the year, despite the difficult conditions of the race.

“The addition of Doriane will strengthen the Iron Dames line-up for this very tough race, and having a fourth driver in the car can give the team great support to achieve a good result.

“It will be a good test and experience for Doriane, as she has already driven GT3 equipment in GT World Challenge last season, as well as in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. We think it’s a perfect opportunity for her, and we’re happy to have her on the team for this famous race.”

Iron Lynx and Iron Dames will be competing at the 74th running of the 24 Hours of Spa on the 30th and 31st July at Spa-Francorchamps.
