Iron Lynx will get on track for three Ferrari Challenge Europe’s events, together with Scuderia Niki from Basle. FIA Women in Motorsport Commission (WIM) confirms its support for the Iron Dames’ Ferrari in this championship as well.
Claudio Schiavoni and Michelle Gatting will be at the wheel of the two 488 Challenge.
Giacomo Piccini, the Team Manager, will coordinate the activity on the track.
In the next round of 4 and 5 July at the Imola’s Enzo and Dino Ferrari racetrack, C. Schiavoni will join the fray in the Coppa Shell with Iron Lynx’s colours, while M. Gatting will race in the Trofeo Pirelli with the colours of the brand Iron Dames. On the gutsy liveries by Garage Italia stands out again the brand Hublot, the luxury Swiss watch company founded in 1980 that confirms the partnership with the Racing Team in this new challenge as well.
The Team Manager Giacomo Piccini looks enthusiastically to the new commitment:
We are very happy and proud to take part to the Ferrari Challenge. We want to perform well and we are sure to have the potential to achieve good results. Michelle has shown her talent and performances consistently in other GT categories. I feel confident that she will be able to show her value in the Trofeo Pirelli as well. Claudio increased his performances so much in the last years that we are sure he will offer great emotions in the Coppa Shell. We thank Scuderia Niki for joining us in this challenge. We are motivated and concentrated: with the Ferrari Challenge, the prestigious one-make championship organised by Ferrari, Iron Lynx and Iron Dames expand their presence in motorsport being close to the prestigious Italian brand.
The round at Imola will be the first after a long break and will be followed by other important appointments in the GT International Championships like the European Le Mans Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup. The Italian racing team will race at Imola (4-5 July) and Misano (26-27 September), in addition to the top event of the season, the Abu Dhabi Finali Mondiali Ferrari (4-7 November).
All the Ferrari Challenge Europe rounds will be broadcast live exclusively on Sky Sport channels. It’s possible to follow the live streaming on the official website racers.ferrari.com.
