Iron Lynx arrives at the last event of the Michelin Le Mans Cup at the Portimão track, having already won the Teams' title in addition to the Drivers' title with Rino Mastronardi. In the European Le Mans Series Iron Lynx and the Iron Dames are all shooting for a successful weekend.
In the Michelin Le Mans Cup, Iron Lynx underlined their performance as Teams Champions and led, for the second year in a row, one of their drivers to outright victory. Rino Mastronardi, the MLMC 2020 champion, succeeding his teammates Sergio Pianezzola and Giacomo Piccini in the history books.
The Iron Dames, Manuela Gostner, Rahel Frey and Michelle Gatting, who face the challenge of the European Le Mans Series, will do their best to take third place in the Championship, to go with the three Podiums already got in the season (4H Le Castellet, 120 Le Castellet and 4H Monza).
After taking a Pole Position at Monza, the Ferrari 488 GTE #60 aims to achieve the result that has been lacking to date, but that is within the reach of the crew composed of R. Mastronardi, S. Pianezzola and A. Piccini, given the absence of Claudio Schiavoni in this round.
A. Piccini and S. Pianezzola, Iron Lynx’ Responsible, outlines the coming Racing Weekend:
Deborah Mayer and Claudio Schiavoni have decided not to attend the last stage of Portimao in view of the international emergency situation. Despite this, the support for the Team remains in full: we line up in MLMC with Ferrari #8 who plays all their cards aiming for a prestigious result even in the last stage of the Championship, to seal what has been Iron Lynx’s commitment in this fantastic Season of Le Mans Cup.
In the European Le Mans Series we decided to make the #60 that will see Rino a worthy replacement for Claudio.
The Iron Dames #83 car is still in the running to finish third at the end of the season, a result for which the whole team is pushing to the maximum.
The main partner of the team is Hublot; the Swiss luxury watch house founded in 1980. Sabelt is a technical partner also supporting the team in this race.
Every stage of the weekend of the last event of the season will be live streamed on the official channels of the European Le Mans Series and the Michelin Le Mans Cup and also covered on the Facebook and Instagram social networks of the Racing Team.
