Pilot instructor for the Italian Federation (ACI SPORT) since 1999; was director of the official Ferrari and Maserati courses from 2005 to 2016. He collects numerous collaborations with partners such as Philip Morris, Shell and Pirelli, and participates in the development of racing cars.
I had my first go-kart race at the age of 15, winning at the debut. After only 5 races I attended the Scuola Federale ACI Sport (Italian ASN) and, after obtaining the license, I passed to the single-seaters, participating at some races of the Italian F.Europa Boxer Championship. The first full season was in 1997, the year in which I was on the verge of winning the German F.Opel Lotus Championship and I got my first pole position in the European Championship where, the following year, I claimed the third place overall. The result allowed me to close an important sponsorship contract with Sebring Sportexahust and compete in F3000, from 1999 to 2001. In 2001 I got called by Giancarlo Minardi for the role of test driver for Minardi F.1, where I have carried out numerous tests on the Fiorano and Mugello circuits. The dream of F1 unfortunately did not materialize and on Minardi's suggestion I moved to the GT world, on the Ferrari 550 Maranello of BMS Scuderia Italia, winning 4 races in the first season. In the following years I was driving Lister Storm, Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari; in 2006 I graduated with Aston Martin as Vice FIA GT Champion and signed an agreement as an official driver for the 24h of Le Mans, where I got on the podium at my debut. In 2007 I competed on board of the Official Maserati MC12 with Andrea Bertolini. In 2009 I debuted with prototypes: with the Lola LMP2 of Racing Box, one race won and third in the Championship. From 2010 I raced with the official Audi Sport R8 and won the Spa 24h in 2012. The following year I became an official BMW driver and gained second place in the 24h of the Nürburgring with the Z4 of Team Marc VDS. From 2014 to 2017 I raced with the Ferrari 458 GT3, the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and the Ferrari 488 GT3, achieving several successes. In 2017 I also won the SPX class at 24 of the Nürburgring driving a Glickenhaus SCG003.
1999: at 20 y.o. I became an instructor of the Italian ASN at the Scuola Federale ACI SPORT. Since then I tutored a large part of Italian drivers who wanted to get closer to car races.
